Bayern Munich are among the ‘elite clubs’ targeting Tottenham Hotspur teenager Troy Parrott, according to Football Insider.
It has also been reported that other top clubs from Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A are interested in the 17-year-old.
The club will likely be mindful of the fact that they lost Keanan Bennett and Reo Griffiths to Borussia Monchengladbach and Lyon respectively last year.
From his 31 matches across Tottenham’s U23s, European U19s and U18s matches referenced on Transfermarkt, Parrott has scored an impressive 22 goals, while also getting five assists.
This includes two strikes in 61 minutes to secure a 2-1 victory over Manchester City U23s in his first Premier League 2 game of the current campaign.
He also opened his account for the Republic of Ireland U21s over the recent international break, getting one goal on his debut against Armenia, following that up with two more against Sweden, having come on as a second-half substitute, as per SofaScore.
There has even been an indication from football.london that the 17-year-old could get his first competitive minutes for Spurs’ first-team when they face Colchester United in the Carabao Cup.
Spurs should definitely do all they can to ensure Parrott remains their player, as he looks like a brilliant talent who can go on to make an impact for the club.
With Fernando Llorente having left the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, there is a chance the teenager could become Harry Kane’s main understudy.
