Our Tottenham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are really starting to lose patience with the club still yet to sign anyone in this summer’s window.
The men from White Hart Lane have had a superb few years where they have just fallen short of the title on two occasions and many were thinking they’d buy some class players to finish first this time around.
However, the north London side have not done that and many supporters are just hoping it’ll be worth the wait in terms of signing new players.
Whilst we wait to see who arrives, though, the club appears to be set to let Moussa Sissoko go with Trabzonspor president Muharrem Usta saying that he wants to sign the Frenchman and that talks are underway.
Indeed, he told TRT – via goal.com:
“We’ve also met with Moussa Sissoko, a very important player. He didn’t live up to expectations last season but this can happen in football. We want to loan him and get his career back on track.”
Sissoko, then, could be on his way to Turkey before too long and that could just be what he needs to try and discover some of the form that saw him move to Spurs in the first place.
Sissoko undoubtedly needs a fresh start somewhere and so this move could benefit everyone involved.
For sure, he was a real presence at EURO 2016 as he tried to get a move away from Newcastle and he’ll surely be looking to recapture that form as he tries to show he’s not just a flash in the pan.
