Tottenham Hotspur fans will be hoping their team have done enough for a Champions League spot next season as the current campaign comes to a close, whilst others in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to moving to their new home.
Mauricio Pochettino has already been busy making plans for the new footballing year and has identified a new striker to help take Spurs to the next level, according to reports in the Spanish media.
Radio Galega (via AS Sport) claim that the north London outfit are interested in signing Maxi Gomez from Celta de Vigo, although they will face stern competition from Borussia Dortmund. The Uruguay international has been impressing in La Liga and a move to the Premier League could be likely, having admitted it would appeal to him.
The striker has also revealed that he has not held talks with the Spanish outfit about a new contract and his current release clause is set around 50million euros, a price Spurs will have to meet if they are to try and bring him to England.
The arrival of Gomez would excite the locals in the Tavern as he has proved to be a highly-rated talent within La Liga, having scored 14 times in 29 appearances. Our Tottenham fans are expecting their club to try and shift Fernando Llorente in the summer and would need a replacement to come in and challenge Harry Kane for a starting spot.
