Tottenham mentioned in report as club look to offer deal to exciting forward

As they proved on Sunday, the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern are right to have a strong confidence in their team.

While it’s proved to be a frustrating summer for the Spurs fans propping up our bar thus far, few would doubt the quality flowing through Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line up. Still, a transfer tidbit to have emerged in a report from the Daily Telegraph has certainly proven interesting.

They claim Leicester City are hopeful enough to offer Demarai Gray a new deal in an attempt to get him to stay at the King Power Stadium. Spurs are thought to be interested in the 21-year-old winger, who has previously been reported to have a value of around £20m.

The England U21 star is also said to have been tracked by Bournemouth and is thought to have held meetings with the Foxes over assurances about his place in the East Midlands.

A hugely talented youngster, they’re hopeful Gray could move to north London, though this deal looks unlikely as things stand.
