Tottenham are not interested in snapping up Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Lassana Diarra, according to reports from the Daily Star.
Rumours originating from French newspaper L’Equipe suggested that the Spurs are keen on the former Arsenal and Chelsea ace, who is widely expected to leave Russia in the New Year.
Mauricio Pochettino was said to have seen him as an ideal option amid talk that Paulinho is ready to leave White Hart Lane, but now sources have confirmed that there is no interest in the 29-year-old from north London.
Diarra only joined Lokomotiv last year after Anzhi Makhachkala dispensed of their high-spending ways, but it’s thought that he’s open to leaving Moscow after being linked with QPR over the summer.
Reports have claimed that ‘advanced talks’ were underway between the enforcer and Spurs, which have been denied.
Diarra spent some of his early career with Chelsea and Arsenal before emerging at Portsmouth.
Success on the South Coast saw him secure a big money move to Real Madrid in 2009.
