Tottenham reportedly line up contingency plan with three-year deal considered

With the Tottenham Hotspur fans still celebrating their dramatic win over Swansea City last night, Mauricio Pochettino’s name has been chanted throughout the evening.

The Argentine is one of the most exciting young managers in Europe and his work on Hotspur Way has not gone unnoticed it seems, considering recent links with the soon-to-be-vacant post at Barcelona.

While the former Southampton coach has previously distanced himself from reports linking him with a move to the Camp Nou, talk emanating out of Italy have worried the locals Spurs somewhat.

According to TMWtop brass at White Hart Lane have reportedly identified Roma manager Luciano Spalletti as a potential replacement for Pochettino should he depart.

The fans here in the bar are trying to take this with a pinch of salt, though the detail the report goes into has scared them a tad. They claim a three-year deal will be offered to the Italian should Pochettino leave, with the 58-year-old understood to be in line for €4.5m-per-year should he accept.
