Tottenham seeking talks with classy World Cup winner in potential summer move

Despite the fact it’s been another wonderful season for the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern, Chelsea’s title win yesterday has them in low spirits.

Spurs have once again just fallen short, though the fact Mauricio Pochettino’s side are getting closer to top honours really shouldn’t be forgotten.

It seems the north London side are just a few players off being able to go the distance over the course of a campaign, so reports emanating out of Italy really have proved interesting to our north London locals.

According to TMWboth Spurs and bitter rivals Arsenal are watching Jerome Boateng’s ongoing situation. Both capital counterparts are said to be looking to open talks with the 28-year-old.

One of the best ball-playing central defenders in world football, the World Cup winner is understood to be seeking talks with Bayern Munich in order to clarify his position at the club.

Despite proving influential to Bayern’s various successes over the years, the former Manchester City star has endured a reasonably difficult time of things under Carlo Ancelotti and is understood to have attracted interest in England.

As you can imagine, the idea of seeing a World Cup winner arrive at Spurs has gone down very well amongst our drinkers.
