Tottenham are feeling the pressure with their squad growing smaller and smaller by the day.
Transfers are now extremely necessary because Mousa Dembele has been sold, Harry Kane is injured and Heung-Min Son is going away on international duty.
Considering that Tottenham are a side aspiring to reach the top of the Premier League one day, they cannot afford to not replace players as influential as those three are.
It must be a carefully considered replacement and a very sensible addition would be someone capable of playing in more than one position.
With the ability then for Mauricio Pochettino to change things around and adapt to different games, Tottenham’s squad would not only be better but also fresher.
So a player like Celta Vigo’s Brais Mendez would surely be a brilliant option for Spurs, fitting that criteria of playing in more than one role.
Mendez, (who is valued at £18 million on Transfermarkt) is a very creative player that would bring a lot of attacking quality to Tottenham’s team.
Having scored four times and assisted on a further five occasions this season, Brais Mendez has the quality to expose an oppositions back-line with his neat and nimble play.
Mendez can play as a normal central-midfielder, or further up the field as an attacking midfielder. Alternatively, the 22-year-old is also able to play on the wing but what’s for sure is that all of the positions he is able to play in would be very effective for Tottenham.
They want to boost their chances at winning something this season, well then this is definitely the signing to do that.
