Replacing Christian Eriksen – given his importance to the side in years gone by – will seemingly be one of the most important transfers Mauricio Pochettino makes as Tottenham manager, and a big name is reportedly being lined-up.

According to 90min, Spurs are considering a move for Ajax playmaker Hakim Ziyech, who is one of four players Tottenham are reportedly monitoring as a potential replacement for Eriksen, whose contract is set to expire next summer.
With Ziyech one of the biggest names in football outside of the top-five European leagues, Tottenham fans on social media were excited about the potential of the 26-year-old joining the north London club.
However, some supporters believed that the Ajax star won’t be moving anytime soon based on how Pochettino’s side have done this season, with Tottenham currently sat in 14th place in the Premier League table (per the Premier League’s official website).
Here’s what some Tottenham fans had to say about the links to Ziyech on Twitter, with a few supporters believing that the Moroccan international wouldn’t want to join the Premier League side this January…
