Spurs fans here in the Tavern are keen to see how some of their loan players are doing this season, as they hope to see them possibly play a huge part in the future.
Mauricio Pochettino assembled one of the Premier League’s most dangerous squads prior to the start of the season, as outcasts and youngsters were sent out on loan to seek an extended amount of game time with progression in mind. And, one player in particular who was an underperformer last season was striker Vincent Janssen, as he’s currently spending the season out on loan with Turkish side Fenerbahce. Although, the striker hasn’t enjoyed the best of times of late, as according to reports from Sporx, the Dutchman returned back to England to receive treatment from Tottenham’s medical staff.
The Tottenham loanee flew back to England to visit the team’s own staff in order to examine the extent of his injury, and an April return is the reported month set for the Dutchman to feature back in the Fenerbahce ranks. And, his trip back to England seems to have been a positive one, as fears that he would miss the rest of the season have soon been withdrawn after a positive response with the Lilywhites.
The Dutch international has struggled to find his feet in the Premier League so far in North London, after bagging only two goals in 27 appearances for the Lilywhites that forced them to send him away on loan. But, it seems as if the striker’s fitness and injury troubles is a care of Spurs’, as they looked to waste no time in getting him back prime and ready to start firing at his loan club.
It would be surprising to see Vincent Janssen back in a Spurs shirt after his disaster performances last season, with Harry Kane proving an immovable object at the pinnacle of the attack. Although, having already managed to match his goalscoring tally with Spurs out in Turkey, it looks as if the striker is showing signs of recreating the scoring form that earnt him a move to North London.
