Dele Alli is one of the most popular figures amongst the Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Transfer Tavern.
Indeed, the England international almost continually shocks our north London locals with just how good he is and the punters propping up our bar are absolutely delighted about the state of play right now.
But that might not always feel that way.
That’s because, within Bleacher Report‘s in-depth look at the 21-year-old’s future situation, they reveal that both Manchester clubs could become viable options for the star over the next few seasons. Not only that, but Alli reportedly fancies himself a move to La Liga at some point, having previously been mooted as a possible Real Madrid target.
While our local Lillywhites would much prefer him to move abroad, the sight of losing another club hero to Los Blancos would be a fairly gutting one. Both Gareth Bale and Luka Modric have moved to the Spanish capital over the years (winning three Champions League titles along the way) as the two clubs gear up for their European meeting soon.
As you can imagine, our Spurs-mad hope his departure is not for a long time.
Surely selling him to Madrid is best for everyone involved. That way, Spurs won’t have to play against him and losing out to Real in the transfer market is nothing to be ashamed about.
Whether or not he can make it there is another story..
