Tottenham step up attempts to rush crocked star back to keep UCL dream alive

These are rather worrying times for the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern, having seen star striker Harry Kane limp off injured in the FA Cup against London rivals Millwall over the course of the weekend.

Such is his importance to Mauricio Pochettino’s cause at White Hart Lane, many of our north London locals fear of their side’s chances in finishing in the top four, should the England international miss any extended period of time. So, reports from the Daily Mail have at least allayed fears somewhat amongst our drinkers.

They claim the club will send their 23-year-old lynchpin to an ankle specialist to ensure he plays again this season, despite fears he has suffered a similar ankle ligament injury to the one that ruled him out for seven weeks earlier this season. Kane is understood to have undergone treatment at the club’s training base yesterday and there will reportedly be more scans today, as the world awaits his prognosis.

As you can imagine, these are very nervous times indeed for our resident Spurs fans.
