Tottenham will be facing Newcastle on Sunday, and with the Lilywhites fresh off the back of a win over Aston Villa and a draw at the Etihad, it’s hard not to fancy them against Newcastle, who have lost their opening two games.

However, with the team news in, the Lilywhites will be slightly less confident, as Tanguy Ndombele has suffered a slight thigh injury and will be unavailable for the club’s home game against the Magpies, although it’s stated that he’s ‘unavailable this weekend’, giving hope he could face Arsenal.
After watching Newcastle lose 1-0 to Arsenal and 3-1 to Norwich the fans will certainly be confident of taking all three points off of the Magpies, but not having Ndombele is far from ideal, seeing as the Frenchman was influential against Villa, scoring the equaliser, and played as a calming influence (handed a 7/10 by Sky Sports by winning all of his duels) against Man City in the 2-2 draw.
You can read the Lilywhites’ reaction to Ndombele’s absence:
Ndombele out this weekend due to minor thigh injury ….

Ndombele out for the season then

I don’t mind resting Ndombele this weekend if it ensures he’s fit for Arsenal next weekend. Wonder if Lo Celso starts now that Ndombele isn’t playing this weekend.
