Tottenham will be wanting squad improvements during the transfer window, should they have the slightest chance at continuing their pursuit of a league title.
Chances are extremely slim but with a quality manager and team around him, Tottenham could still be a challenge in the title race.
With the EFL Cup, FA Cup, league and Champions League all still to play for, Spurs have their best chance to date to grab some much needed silverware for the cabinet.
Tottenham’s starting line-up is very strong but in terms of depth, especially in the middle of the park, they could improve.
A player who could bring exactly what they need is Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini – who is valued at £31.5 million on Transfermarkt.
The Italian midfielder has been a tremendous addition for Roma ever since he joined back in 2017. If he went on the move again, Tottenham would be very hopeful in thinking they have a top player within their ranks.
Midfield is a key area on the pitch as many know, so Pellegrini’s contribution could be vital in ensuring success quickly reunites with Tottenham.
The 22-year-old has scored two times this season but is much more of a passer, demonstrated by his six assists.
With the quality to play in a more attacking or defensive role, Tottenham can pick and choose how they would like to utilise Pellegrini, deciding what’s best for certain matches.
Lorenzo Pellegrini would not only be an extra body in an already packed midfield but his ability could shine through for Tottenham, allowing them to progress further as a club in the near future.
