Tottenham had a tremendous season in the Premier League this year.

Despite the closing 4 games, Pochettino's side were threatening throughout and thoroughly deserved their top three finish.

Fans believe that the season could have offered even more after too many draws and a disastrous end to the season, which saw Tottenham fall below rivals Arsenal for the 21st season in a row.

Tottenham scored the second most goals in the league and conceded the joint least.

Tottenham clearly don't need too much improving but the bartender at the Tavern believes that Tottenham are a few signings away from becoming a title-winning team, and maybe even a threat in the Champions League.

If Mauricio Pochettino is willing to splash the cash this summer, then there is no stopping Tottenham next season.

Our landlord here in the Tavern has come up with Spurs' DREAM defence for next season......

Hugo Lloris

In goal, you can't look past Hugo Lloris.

The French keeper has been part of the key to Spurs success over the past few seasons.

Harry Kane and Dele Alli may get all the plaudits but Tottenham's defensive record is something to be proud of, largely due to Lloris' incredible performances.

The 29-year-old sometime plays as a risky sweeper keeper but has made some extraordinary stops to keep Tottenham's title challenge alive.

The Tottenham boys at the Tavern think he's better than Neuer...

Kyle Walker

As mentioned, Tottenham's defence was incredible this term conceding a mere 35 goals throughout the campaign.

The English full back even popped up with a few assists this season and rightfully earned himself a place in Roy Hodgson's England squad.

It would certainly be harsh to leave the 25-year-old out of the first team after his run of great form.

The landlord at the Tavern can't get enough of him!

Samuel Umtiti

The first new face in this dream Tottenham defence, according to the Mirror, Tottenham are preparing a bid for the £20m-rated French centre back.

The 22-year-old actually scored against Spurs in the 2012/13 season, a wonder strike in the Europa League for Lyon as Tottenham triumphed 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

The youngster has experience and is calm on the ball, he could become the next Ledley King.

Toby Alderweireld

Alderweireld

What a debut season for Toby Alderweireld.

The Belgian centre back was an integral part of the Tottenham side and popped up with 4 goals and 2 assists from the back including a goal against rivals Arsenal in the derby.

The 27-year-old was signed from Atletico Madrid  last summer and earned himself a place in the Premier League team of the season.

Danny Rose

Rose

Last but not least, Danny Rose.

Yet another player who was incredible throughout the campaign and won his first England cap after a series of impressive performances.

The 25 year-old announced himself to the world with a wonder strike against Arsenal in 2010 but has taken time to get going in North London, but the full-back started the season in great form and never looked back providing a couple of vital assists during the campaign.

The landlord at the Tavern thinks this is a defence that could fire Tottenham to success next term!
