Spurs fans here in the Tavern head back to work in utter delight, as they continue this fine run of form that sees them move up in the table.
Tottenham Hotspur just can’t stop exceeding expectations as their Argentinian Houdini continues to see his Spurs team soar. Having entered the season with aspirations of only a European spot, this has been exceeded only a quarter of the way in, as a trophy triumph doesn’t seem too far away.
Although Mauricio Pochettino may take most of the plaudits, the team has provided an incredible consistency throughout, the hunger and desire that hasn’t been seen in previous years. Having nurtured the squad, they know their roles and how to implement it quite visibly.
Indeed, what Spurs side have you ever known to take 4/6 points off Real Madrid?
A reoccurring question in the minds of many Spurs fans is what actually is Fernando Llorente’s suited purpose in this squad?
Having made only 3 starts for the club this season, could this perhaps have been a mistake by the ever-reliable Pochettino.
Or, perhaps this is down to one particular man.
Son Heung-min has been instrumental in times of need as he manages to deliver some incredible performances when they need him most, having scored 3 goals so far this season in great support of the prolific Harry Kane.
It looks as if his form and recent match-winner against Crystal Palace has cemented this with the former Bayer Leverkusen man emerging as Tottenham’s second striker at long, long last.
Having turned Wembley into a fortress, this Spurs side don’t look like coming to a halt. As many fans pray for a long-serving reign of victory, only time will tell to see the effect this has on an ambitious Tottenham side.
So Spurs fans, would you agree? Is Son now Tottenham’s best second striker?
