Our Tottenham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that not signing players this summer isn’t going to harm their title chances for the new campaign.
Many Lilywhites fans here in the bar felt that with a few good signings they would be able to beat Chelsea and the rest of the clubs going for the title in 2017/18.
Instead, though, Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino have decided that not spending is the way forward for now and it can only remain to be seen if they are to pull that off.
One recent result, though – albeit a friendly – will have hardly improved confidence with them losing to Manchester City 3-0.
