Spurs fans are delighted at the news that their club are eyeing the future of England, Ryan Sessengon. The 17-year-old left-back has been unbelievable in his short time with Championship side Fulham and, already Tottenham are reportedly willing to put down £30 million for his signature. So where would this leave Ben Davies?
24-year-old Davies (rated at £16.2 million according to Transfermarkt) has been at Tottenham since 2014, joining from fellow Premier League club Swansea City. The defender is very capable at getting up and down the wings, assisting team-mates or putting in a vital tackle to stop a goal being conceded.
Indeed, two of the clubs that would be alerted straight away if Tottenham bring in Sessegnon are Newcastle and West Ham. Davies may struggle for game time at Spurs with another left-back in their ranks so may look at these two sides as an opportunity for a guaranteed place in the starting line-up.
With that in mind, here’s a closer look at how he’d fit in.
