Bitter rivals West Ham United and Spurs need little excuse to argue in the Transfer Tavern, though the idea of a lethal striker coming between the two is enough to further fan those fiery flames.
According to Ed Aarons (Guardian), the Hammers have tabled a whopping €35m bid for prolific Spurs target Michy Batshuayi, a fee that roughly equates to over £26m.
That would potentially make the Belgian the Irons’ most expensive ever signing, far exceeding the £15m deal brought Andy Carroll to Upton Park in 2013.
The 22-year old has long been linked with a move to White Hart Lane, though the upwardly mobile East Londoners have been mooted as a potential suitor as they aim to mark their move to the Olympic Stadium with a marquee name.
