Spurs have landed the “new Drogba”, 16 year old Souleymane Coulibaly.
The young hit man has recently sounded the alarm amongst footballs big guns after lighting up the mini World cup in Mexico, where he netted nine times in four games with the Ivory Coast.
After bagging back to back hat-tricks, and rattling the net with some sensational strikes, Daniel Levy will look to introduce the AC Sienna youth starlet to the big time, and is prepared to throw him in at the deep end as part of Harry Redknapp’s first team squad.
Despite Spurs gaffer Redknapp hopeful of rivals Chelsea budging and allowing the “real Drogba” a move across London, his Compatriot certain looks a shrewd bit of business for the small sum of £2m.
Coulibaly has been compared with Drogba, due to his powerful presence and his deadly strike of the ball. At just half his age, I wonder how he would cope in the Premiership.
Could he be the answer to the lack of goals up top? Or would he turn out to be another Giovani dos Santos… a let-down… We shall see.
