Celebrating their win over Crystal Palace last night, the Tottenham Hotspur fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern have been handed even further good news.
While the Premier League title may be Chelsea’s to lose, the Spurs fans are delighted to see Mauricio Pochettino’s side fail to give hope in their pursuit.
Indeed, while they have some tough games remaining between now and the end of the season, reports from the Daily Star have provided yet more reason to cheer.
They’ve revealed Arsenal stalwart Laurent Koscielny is expected to miss the North London derby this weekend, following the Frenchman’s knee injury against Leicester last night.
Crucial to the Gunners’ newly-deployed three at the back system, the 31-year-old received treatment last night late on and Arsene Wenger has suggested a knee issue could rule him out.
“Koscielny has a knee problem but I don’t know how long he’ll be out for,” he said.
“I have to check because I don’t know yet.”
With Harry Kane on the prowl, this is wonderful news for the Spurs fans in the bar, as they attempt to finally finish above their bitter rivals.
