‘You won’t play left-back’ – Lots of Tottenham fans have been urging rival star to join club

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been begging Manchester United’s wantaway star, Anthony Martial, to hand in a transfer request at the club. According to the Manchester Evening News, United have blocked an approach from Spurs to sign the Frenchman after they were unable to agree on a deal to sign Toby Alderweireld.

For the Spurs fans in the Tavern, Martial would be a dream signing. The Frenchman offers pace and versatility, much like their Korean winger, Heung-Min Son. However, the Manchester United forward is more suited to playing as a centre-striker and would be able to deputise when Harry Kane is injured or suspended as well adding goals from midfield and the wing alongside the club’s already impressive attacking midfield forces.

Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Son are already a deadly force starting behind Kane but when you throw Martial into the mix it takes the Tottenham attack to a new level. At the age of 22, there’s plenty of time for Martial to develop into any type of player and with Mauricio Pochettino’s incredible record of developing young players into the world’s best, it seems like a no-brainer that the Frenchman should be trying to get his move to North London.

As you can see, the Spurs fans in the Tavern all really want to see Martial sign and are keen for it to happen soon.
