Tottenham Hotspur manager Maurcio Pochetinno should already be thinking about who to bring in this January.
There is plenty of ability in this Spurs side. From defence, through midfield to attack, it is undoubtedly dripping with talent. Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane form one of the strongest spines any team in the Premier League has.
Tottenham were the only club in the Premier League not to bring in a single player in summer. With other clubs strengthening, this is a high risk strategy, particularly when Spurs have ambitions to win silverware.
Due to doing no business in the summer, Pochetinno must surely already have his eye on bringing in some reinforcements in January. With the amount of games coming up for Spurs in the FA Cup and in Europe, he needs top quality players to come in, who will not only add depth but make an impact.
The highly rated Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha must still be top of Poch’s shopping list. The enigmatic winger is valued at £27m by Transfermarkt. It is likely the Selhurst Park outfit will want much more than this figure if they are to let their star man go.
Being such a crucial player for Crystal Palace, it is no wonder the South London club are determined to keep hold of the star. However, Tottenham should go all out to sign the Ivorian, who would be a fantastic addition for Spurs. Playing alongside a better standard of player, Zaha could take his game to the next level.
Zaha’s creativity would be of major use to Harry Kane. The England international has the ability to put away the fizzing crosses he puts into the box on a regular basis.
