Tottenham’s Danny Rose wanted by Schalke

Tottenham Hotspur are yet to make a signing during the transfer window, however, they could see one man depart as the deadline edges closer.

Mauricio Pochettino will have been looking to add a couple of players to his squad this summer as they look to compete across all competitions this season.

However, it appears that one man could be about to depart the White Hart Lane outfit as he looks to restart his career.

According to a report in The Daily Mirror’s live transfer blog, Danny Rose is thought to be ready to head to Germany and join Schalke on a temporary deal.

It is understood that the Bundesliga outfit are in talks about a loan swoop for the England international who is thought to have become out-of-favour at Spurs following his public outburst about the club.

Rose lost his place to Ben Davies during the season and also struggled to hold down a starting spot with the Three Lions during the World Cup.

The Verdict:

The writing looked to be on the wall for Rose and his Tottenham career, however, a loan move to the Bundesliga appears to have come as a shock.

The defender was being courted by a number of Premier League outfits last summer, however, he has since seen things go against him recently, including losing out on his place in the first-team.

It is not thought that Pochettino has fully forgiven him for the public criticism and a move to Schalke could be the best thing for him to get his career back on track this summer.
