Tottenham’s first summer signing is set to be a great one but Poch needs to hurry up

The Spurs fans are making a rare appearance in the Transfer Tavern tonight and they are breathing a sigh of relief as Pochettino might actually be signing someone.

Finally, Tottenham look like they might be doing some sort of business in the transfer market.

Reports from Sky Sports have revealed that Jeremy Toljan will be free to leave current club Hoffenheim to join Spurs for a fee in the region of £13 million.

With only a year left on his contract, it seems like the perfect time for Mauricio Pochettino to make a move on the 22-year-old.

Toljan recently impressed for the German u21 side as they won the European Championships.

The German is able to play anywhere across the backline as well as either side of midfield with his versatility catching the eye of the Spurs boss.

He seems like the perfect replacement for Kyle Walker following the Englishman’s £50 million move to title rivals, Manchester City.

He’s quick, loves to get forward and is an excellent crosser of the ball.

All the traits Pochettino loves in his full-backs.

The price tag seems like a bargain too and in all honesty, it doesn’t matter how much a player costs, at this point Spurs just need to start signing players.

It’s amazing to say it considering we are now in August but should they sign the German defender, he would be their first signing of this transfer window.

Get a move on Pochettino, or else you could miss out.
