Tottenham’s O’Hara set for Pompey return

Portsmouth manager, Avram Grant, will make a move to bring back Tottenham Hotspur’s Jamie O’Hara on loan after the south coast club’s transfer embargo was lifted, the Daily Mirror reports.

After satisfying the Premier League that they no longer owe money to other clubs, due to restructuring payments owed to Udinese over the transfer of Sulley Muntari, Pompey can now complete free transfers or loans before next Monday’s deadline.

The energetic midfielder had an initial loan spell at Fratton Park which ended on January 15, but because of the troubled club’s problems he was forced to head back to Spurs. Harry Redknapp has been keen to get the 23-year-old back out on loan in order for the former England under-21 star to play regular first team football. He had recently been linked with a move to Wolves but it now looks as though Pompey will tie up a deal.

Speaking to Radio Five Live about their transfer lift Portsmouth’s Chief Executive, Peter Storrie said:  “It’s a boost for Avram, a boost for the team and the supporters.”

“We’re looking to bring in two or three players, ideally four if we can and that would include bringing Jamie O’Hara back, which is our first priority now. If we can bring in three or four we believe we have a chance of staying up.”

O’Hara has already made 13 appearances for Portsmouth this season, scoring one goal.

Is there any substance to this and should this rumour Fly or Die?
