Despite the January transfer window having been slammed shut on Thursday, Tottenham Hotspur could still see one of their players leave.
According to a report by The Sydney Morning Herald, Shayon Harrison is expected to join Melbourne City on a loan deal.
The move is expected to be on a short-term basis and will go through provided he receives clearance regarding a visa.
The 21-year-old is highly thought of at Tottenham and has come through the academy ranks, however, he is yet to kick on in the senior side.
His only appearance for the first-team was back in 2016 when Harrison featured against Liverpool in the League Cup from the substitutes bench.
The forward spent much of last season on loan as well, having played for Southend United in League One, however, he failed to make much of an impact in his 13 appearances.
A loan to Melbourne City could do Harrison some wonders, especially as the club are in need of a striker.
Having come through the youth ranks at Tottenham, there will be a certain expectation that he has a bright future ahead of him, however, he is yet to get his opportunity.
Spurs could benefit from the 21-year-old potentially playing regularly and Mauricio Pochettino may decide to keep a close eye on his player if he does move Down Under.
