Today’s Metro suggests that powerhouse striker Hulk is seeking a reunion with Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas at White Hart Lane.
The news comes after the player admitted that he wants to play under his former FC Porto boss again.
The Brazilian striker was at his fantastic best while playing under Villas-Boas at Porto, netting an incredible 36 goals in 51 matches as they secured a domestic double and the Europa League.
He has since struggled for form since moving to Russia with Zenit Saint Petersburg, but he has now admitted that he would have some interest in linking up with his ex-manager in London.
“I learned a lot with Andre Villas-Boas at Porto,” he told in twentyfour7 magazine.
“He is very intelligent tactically. He was almost so well informed about the opponents that we pretty much knew everything about them when we went out on to the pitch.
“It was scary how much we knew.
“I am really happy Villas-Boas is making a mark in England, and it would be fantastic to play under him again one day.”
Quite often in the tavern we hear of possible interest from White Hart Lane, but it appears that the Russian club have continually priced them out of a move.
However, now a deal could be on the cards as Spurs seem likely to continue their massive spending spree in January and will be apparently prepared to pay the £25 million asking price for the 27-year-old striker.
Is Hulk the different kind of striker that Spurs need to fire them to success? Let us know your thoughts below.
