In a season that at Christmas was going so well for the Gunners, an FA Cup victory could be the only saviour for Arsene Wenger in a thoroughly disappointing end.
It is expected that Wenger will be particularly active in the summer transfer window with some major departures expected. Today’s Mail Online suggests that Wenger is looking at Swansea City’s Ashley Williams again as he attempts to replace captain Thomas Vermaelen.

Garry Monk’s side are in a serious relegation fight this term and with time running out for Williams, he may feel it will be best if he looks for a new club in the summer.
Wenger had previously tried to sign the Welsh international last summer, having at least two meetings with his representatives, but the transfer was put on hold due to a reluctance to pay the Swans requested transfer fee.
The expected departure of Vermaelen will leave a spot free in central defence with the long-serving Swansea man ready to step to the highest level.
