And according to talkSPORT, Tottenham have been told by Inter Milan that they will need to pay £10 million as well as including Roberto Soldado in any deal for Nerazzurri midfielder Fredy Guarin.
The Serie A side had initially wanted a straight cash deal for Guarin worth up to £14 million.
However according to reports, the Italian giants are now offering the North London club the chance to use the Spanish striker as a makeweight in any deal.
Soldado was dubbed a flop by all last season as he struggled to adapt to the English game, scoring just six Premier League goals.
The 29-year old former Valencia star had been linked with a move back to La Liga this summer with Atletico Madrid lining him up as a replacement for Diego Costa.
However Spurs would be leaving themselves awfully short in attack if they were to proceed in agreeing to Inter’s offer.
Tottenham fans. Would you be prepared to let Soldado leave if it meant you could bring in Guarin? Let us know your thoughts below.
