There is yet another claim for Chelsea fans to chew over here in the Football Transfer Tavern today as Metro claim that the club could well receive a boost in their attempts to land exiting Portuguese youth international Bruma.
The Sporting Lisbon player is wanted by Jose Mourinho who even tracked him during his time at Real Madrid – another contender for the 18-year-old’s signature and after impressing for Portugal at the Under-20 World Cup in Turkey this summer, Bruma has seen his star rise even more.
Now it seems that the player could well be set to beg his current club to allow him to leave after hearing of the interest from abroad. It had initially been thought that Sporting would hold onto the player for another year, but that was before the money and power of Manchester City and Chelsea came into the equation.
Chelsea have already bid £12 million for the forward who is dead set on making the move to the Premier League. It is a rather exciting time for Chelsea fans at the minute given the club have signed Mark Schwarzer and have also told both Juan Mata and Fernando Torres that they will be staying.
Will Mourinho get his hands on the young starlet? Let us know your thoughts below.
