Highly rated Brazilian winger Everton Ribeiro has raised speculation in the Football Transfer Tavern today after admitting that he wants to fulfill a childhood dream of playing for Manchester United in the near future.
The 24-year-old was a top performer for his club side Cruzeiro last season helping the club win the Brasileiro Serie A title ahead of Atletico Paranaense and Gremio and it is these impressive performances that have seen him linked with a big money switch to Europe.
Manchester United boss David Moyes is thought to be keen on adding to his attacking options in January and suggestions are that the former Everton boss has assigned scouts to keep tabs on the former Brazilian Under-20 international.
Now the Daily Star claim he confirmed his United dream by saying: “I will continue doing my job here at Cruzeiro but plan on getting to a big club, it’s a dream I’ve had since I was young, I’ve always liked Manchester United.”
He is currently rated at around £7 million by his side and now Cruzeiro are preparing themselves for a possible bid from the Old Trafford club during the winter window as Moyes looks to increase his attacking choices in January.
