The Daily Mail note that Everton talisman Marouane Fellani would be keen on a move to Manchester United, yet this would not mean David Moyes would give up on landing Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas.
The Belgian midfielder has been linked with a move to Manchester United even before Moyes made the switch to the Red Devils and it seems that now there is an even greater incentive for Fellaini to leave Everton and continue his relationship with Moyes who recently spoke about his former club.
Moyes said: “Everton are a great club and I was proud to manage them. But I can’t deny Manchester United is on another level.
“Let’s be honest, it would be a step up from just about any club in the world.” This is perhaps a statement partially aimed at Fellaini who as the Mail claim, has his heart set on a £23 million move to United.
As one of our punters quipped, we thought that the renewed interest in Fellaini would be in response to Moyes seemingly giving up hope of landing Cesc Fabregas yet that does not seem to be the case.
It is thought the Scotsman will continue to push for Fabregas and will even consider making an improved offer for the Barcelona player.
Moyes is resigned however to missing out on Leighton Baines who he made a £12 million bid for earlier this summer, yet would need to pay much more than that to bring the former Wigan Athletic full back to Old Trafford.Moyes is simply not willing to increase his bid for a player nearing 30 years of age.
Will Fellaini earn his move to Manchester United this summer? Is he good enough for the Red Devils? Let us know your thoughts below.
