There are intriguing reports emerging in the Football Transfer Tavern this evening as Metro suggest that Basel’s Mohamed Salah has now announced that he wants to sign for either Premier League duo Manchester United and Chelsea.
The 21-year-old was outstanding for the Swiss side during their recent Champions League as he scored his second goal against the Blues this season.
His eye-catching displays on the wing have attracted the attentions of several clubs around Europe, but the Egyptian has narrowed his wish-list down to three, with two Premier League sides featuring among his dream moves.
“I’m very proud to have scored two goals against Chelsea,” Salah said after this week’s Champions League victory.
“I want to play for one of the best teams in the world.
“My favourites are Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea.”
He was this week linked with a stunning move to White Hart Lane as Andre Villas-Boas tries to save the club’s season in January but this has acted as something of a snub for the Lilywhites sat in the bar.
