Arsenal supporters everywhere.
Cast your mind back to the feelings of disgust, disbelief and gut wrenching devastation at losing the opening Premier League game of the season in shock circumstances to Aston Villa at home at the Emirates Stadium.
After heading into a dream lead through Olivier Giroud, the Gunners infamously crashed and burned in a shock 3-1 scoreline that saw boos ring around North London like never before.
Following a summer whereby Arsenal were seemingly being rejected by any transfer target possible, the boo boys and critics circled like vultures ready to poke fun and condemnation at every wrong move by the Gunners.
What a difference a couple of months makes however and more importantly, what a difference one signing has made in North London.
The football world gasped in not only shock but general appreciation when Arsene Wenger made the club record £42.5 million signing of Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid on deadline day, capping a fine 48 hours after defeating arch rivals Tottenham in a fixture deemed must win in every sense.
Since then, the Gunners have gone from strength to strength and currently lead the Premier League by two points and since that Aston Villa loss have only surrendered two points to a gallant West Bromwich Albion outfit.
Also starting their Champions League ‘group of death’ in fine fettle despite the recent sucker punch loss to Borussia Dortmund, all looks good in the Arsenal camp but Arsene Wenger maintained after the weekend victory over Crystal Palace that it is still very much early days.
Given their blistering start, punters in the Transfer Tavern have now been asked to decide if 2013/14 will be the season when the Gunners finally put an end to their trophyless drought which now stands at eight years since winning the FA Cup in 2004/5.
