Liverpool will not have been able to celebrate their achievement of being able to progress to the next round of the Champions League for very long.
Jurgen Klopp’s side managed to overcome Napoli in midweek to advance in the competition, however, the German will want to see his side turn their attention towards their huge Premier League game on Sunday.
The Reds will host Manchester United at Anfield, however, it appears as though the home side have been dealt a huge blow ahead of the game.
The 20-year-old picked up the knock against Napoli in their last match and is being assessed on a ‘day by day’ basis ahead of the big game.
Alexander-Arnold has, arguably, become one of the best right-backs over such a short period of time and has put in a number of impressive performances to back that up.
Liverpool would obviously like to have the £31.5million-rated ace, as per Transfermarkt, to be available for the game as he has become a crucial member of the squad.
However, with Nathaniel Clyne thought to be available and with the number of games the Reds will have to play over the next month, Klopp may decide against using the 20-year-old and ensure he is fully fit before rushing him back into the side.
