Liverpool will have their sights set on returning to winning ways against West Ham United on Monday, with the opportunity to take another step towards securing the Premier League title.
The Reds have been magnificent up until this point in the current campaign, but their last outing against Leicester City was a slight disappointment as they weren’t able to secure maximum points.
However, the Merseyside club recently received a huge boost on the injury front, as according to Liverpool’s official website, Trent Alexander-Arnold has returned to light training ahead of his return.
Trent Alexander Arnold has made a return to light training on Friday but is unlikely to face West Ham.
“[There’s] no return date for Joe. Trent is getting better and better and better.
“He is really close and I hope he is in full training next week, but not for Monday.”
The Englishman played a huge part for the Reds during the first half of the season, so this will come as a huge boost for the league leaders as they’ve had to deploy Jordan Henderson and James Milner at right-back recently.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is valued at £40.5 million (by Transfermarkt), has been one of the standout performers in the current campaign, so Jurgen Klopp will be delighted to have him back in the side.
Indeed, the Reds’ title pursuit will receive an automatic boost when the youngster returns as he’s been crucial in defensive and attacking areas.
