Manchester United

Trouble for £75m man wouldn’t have mattered now Man United hero is back – Agreed?

Red Devils here in the Tavern are developing a slight feeling of concern, following the idea of a suspension to one of their most prominent stars.

Manchester United have always thrived under the pressure of the ‘big game’ environment, from times with Sir Alex Ferguson to their newly found reign under the ‘special one’ Jose Mourinho.

After opening up a 3 point gap of breathing space between 2nd and 3rd place, a sigh of relief can be heard all around Old Trafford due to a couple of close calls in recent weeks.

Next up a tough task awaits Mourinho and his men, with a difficult trip to Vicarage Road to take on one of the in-form sides in the Premier League, Watford, having enforced dominant victories in their previous two outings.

However, there’s been a noticeable swing in the mood recently, with fans here in the Tavern becoming ever the more confident of how United will fare without their star striker, Romelu Lukaku.

Due to an investigation being inducted into the possible sighting of two ferocious kicks dished out to Brighton left-back Gaetan Bong in their 1-0 win over Brighton at the weekend, a possible three-match ban was raised.

Now, Lukaku is looking likely to get away with it, but it raises the question, would it really matter?

The recent return to full-fitness of Zlatan Ibrahimovic gives United a more celebrated marksman to lead the line and, with Lukaku out of form, would a ban really have affected the Red Devils all too much?

United fans, thoughts?
