The Palace faithful are in the Transfer Tavern today and they should be thankful these players aren’t at the club anymore.
Crystal Palace aren’t necessarily a club notorious for bad dealings in the transfer market. They’re also not notorious for doing anything particularly stand-out.
They just get the job done, sometimes they get it right and sometimes they don’t.
Of course, if you look deep enough then any club has their fair share of dodgy dealings that didn’t quite live up to the potential they had upon signing.
In that respect, Palace are no different.
Things may change for them soon with a new and experienced manager at the helm.
Frank de Boer would rather build youngsters up through the academy than spend money on already produced talent and looking at his former side Ajax, it seems to work.
