‘Truly mind boggling’ – Chelsea fans are seriously concerned after latest managerial report

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that their side’s managerial situation will be resolved quickly. Though he still has time left on his contract at Stamford Bridge, Antonio Conte’s future appears increasingly uncertain, and it’s fair to say that the days and weeks following the FA Cup final will be very interesting.

Though the Italian won the Premier League last season, Chelsea’ success this term has been markedly less evident, and in truth, it’s been one of the worst seasons in recent memory for the club.

That could all change with an FA Cup win, of course, but that may not be enough to save Conte his job.

Bringing in a replacement for Conte, though won’t be easy, but according to Matt Law of the Telegraph, one potential candidate has received a boost this week. Luis Enrique is now one of the leaders for the job given that Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is looking likely to sign a new deal at the Italian club.

Enrique impressed as boss of Barcelona, but is currently out of a job, and so that will certainly appeal to Chelsea. He won a plethora of trophies at the club, and they played fantastical football, with their partnership only ending due to Enrique’s decision to depart upon the expiration of his contract.

Despite his full trophy case, the Chelsea fans over on Reddit aren’t too excited to see Enrique in the dugout at Stamford Bridge. The Spaniard isn’t too popular amongst fans, with supporters clearly not convinced that he has the quality to take over the mantle from Antonio Conte.  Many are pointing towards the incredible players he worked with in Spain not quite being on the same level as Chelsea’s current crop of individuals.

Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
