Crystal Palace currently find themselves sitting just outside the relegation places in sixteenth position, while Leicester City are just inside the top half of the table in ninth place.
The Eagles will feel confident that they can secure a number of positive results to push themselves up the Premier League table. Meanwhile, the Foxes could have their sights set on securing a European spot if they manage to strengthen in the January transfer window, having impressed under Claude Puel so far this season.
Interestingly, Leicester City will travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace at the weekend, so we took a look at Demarai Gray and Andros Townsend’s influence at their respective clubs.
With that in mind, let’s compare these two transfers…
Steve Parish splashed the cash on Andros Townsend back in the summer of 2016 as he signed him for £13 million from Newcastle United.
The winger has been one of the standout performers for Crystal Palace in the current campaign, with four goals and one assist to his name in all competitions.
So, with Palace possibly facing a relegation battle in the Premier League this season, he will play a huge part in getting them out of trouble as Wilfried Zaha has struggled to find his feet recently.

Leicester City secured the services of Demarai Gray for a small fee of £3.7 million from Birmingham City back in January of 2016, which has proved to be a great piece of business.
The exciting winger really impressed last season at the King Power Stadium and has taken up an important role in the current campaign, with two goals and one assist to his name in the Premier League.
But, supporters will be hoping to get more out of him as the season progresses as you’d expect more contributions from an attacker that has featured in 16 games in all competitions this season.
TT GRADE: B+
When comparing these two, it’s clear to see that Townsend is enjoying the rub of the green at this moment in time as he has already put in match-winning performances for the Eagles, while Gray has put in some dominant performances but he hasn’t quite managed to contribute on a regular basis.
Townsend really seems to be coming into his own at Selhurst Park in the current campaign, which is great news for supporters as he will play a huge part in their season.
On the other hand, Gray has plenty of potential and could still have a huge impact on the Foxes’ season, but there’re definitely improvements to be had in order for this to happen.
Both players have already showcased their talents at times in the Premier League this season, but it’s Townsend who is outclassing Gray at this moment in time as he continues to score vital goals at key times.
