A team not blessed with goals, Crystal Palace could look to strengthen their attacking options in the summer.
And one player who the south London club appear to be considering is Oliver Burke with the Daily Mail (via Daily Record) reporting that director of football Dougie Freedman is a huge admirer of the 21-year-old.
Burke, who is currently on loan at Celtic from West Brom, has impressed since arriving at Celtic Park back in January, meaning Crystal Palace are likely to face fierce competition from the Scottish giants for his permanent signature.
With Andros Townsend already occupying that right wing spot in Roy Hodgson’s side, though, should the Eagles really be making someone like Burke a priority?
Despite being used in a more central role at Celtic, Burke is naturally a wide man with the Scotland international possessing the skill set to thrive there.
Described as being “super-fast” by his former boss Brendan Rodgers (Telegraph), Burke can be devastating when driving with the ball, using his pace and strength to bulldoze past defenders.
Rodgers, however, was also quick to point out that Burke needed to add “something more” to his game when giving his assessment on the ex-Nottingham Forest man.
At West Brom, RB Leipzig and Forest, he did not have the greatest of records in front of goal, making any pursuit from Crystal Palace a questionable one.
TT Grade: C
Like Burke, Townsend rarely finds himself in among the goals with the 27-year-old’s record during his time at Crystal Palace underwhelming.
That being said, given his technical ability, it is an area he is easily capable of improving.
Townsend has such a sweet left foot, something that was on show when he put his side 2-1 up against Manchester City back in December with a world-class strike from outside the box.
Rather, what has probably let the England international down down the years is his decision-making.
If he can learn when to shoot and when to pass, he could boost both his goal and assist numbers to become a more productive winger.
TT Grade: B-
At 21, Burke can still be crafted into a more dangerous attacker with the right coaching.
But is that something Hodgson is capable of doing and can Crystal Palace afford to wait for that to happen?
The Eagles need goals now if they want to avoid getting caught up in relegation battles, something Burke has struggled with outside of Scotland.
In a toss-up between the Celtic man and Townsend, the latter looks like the safer bet.
