The transfer window has barely been open in England and it is already conjuring up some very interesting storylines at both ends of the Premier League table.
And one of the latest includes both Southampton and Crystal Palace, who are said to be interested in Liverpool’s Harry Wilson (Sky Sports).
Wilson, who is valued at £7.2m by Transfermarkt, has enjoyed an incredible season with Derby County in the Championship and now looks certain to be playing his football in the Premier League next term.
But the question is where?
Southampton certainly looks like a good destination for Wilson. Under a coach like Ralph Hasenhuttl, Wilson could really go up another level.
The Austrian is a really good attacking coach that gets a lot out of his forward players.
Setting up his side to be a threat on the counter-attack, you could easily see Wilson thriving at St. Mary’s with his pace and efficiency in the final third.
And from the Saints’ perspective, they could really do with the addition of another winger.
All things considered, the two look like a match made in heaven.

Sky Sports reports that Crystal Palace are only likely to join the race for Wilson should star man Wilfried Zaha depart in the summer.
Big shoes to fill, but Wilson will undoubtedly embrace the challenge. The Liverpool man has a certain confidence and arrogance about him.
That being said, it would not be a surprise if things did not work out as planned if a transfer to Selhurst Park did materialise.
In contrast to his Southampton counterpart Hasenhuttl, Roy Hodgson can be guilty of deploying systems that restrict creativity and stifle attackers.
For a young offensive player still developing like Wilson, that could prove problematic.

The conservative style of Hodgson or the adventurous philosophy of Hasenhuttl? It is a simple choice really.
If it comes down to choosing between Southampton and Crystal Palace, then Wilson has to pick the former.
The two just seem like such a good fit, with Hasenhuttl coming across as a suitable mentor for the Wales international.
Considering that, Southampton should be able to entice Wilson to St. Mary’s if it comes down to a shootout between themselves and Crystal Palace.
Who needs Wilson more? Which team is a better fit for the Liverpool winger? Let us know!
