Our resident Arsenal supporting punters here inside the Football Transfer Tavern have been alerted to several reports linking former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho with Arsenal, and it’s divided opinion to say the least!
The Portuguese gaffer has been out of the management since being sacked by Chelsea this season, after an abysmal start to the Premier League campaign for the Blues, having won the title the season before with ease.
Jose Mourinho is a man who will always divide opinion, like Marmite, you either love him or you hate him, but there is no denying the man can deliver silverware, having done so with the majority of his previous clubs.
With Arsenal enduring a pretty mediocre season by their standards, it was inevitable to see Mourinho linked with the hotseat at the Emirates Stadium, but whether he would be the right man for the job is a debate that will roll on forever.
Our landlord here in the Tavern decided to take a look on Twitter and see what the general reaction was to Mourinho being linked with the job, here’s a selection of what people are saying…. (The last tweet caused a bit of a fracas here in the Tavern!)
All this Mourinho talk in the papers… got to be a load of bollocks surely?? I mean, would any Arsenal fan seriously want that in charge??

If Mourinho goes to Arsenal and LVG stays for another year I will officially be done with life. #MUFC

I would rather have Gary Neville as manager at Arsenal than Mourinho. That’s how much I hate him.
