Jose Mourinho has once again brought the Football Transfer Tavern to a standstill with the latest claim from Metro.
The publication seem to be under the impression that the Blues boss is determined to bring in one of his top two targets this summer.
The Chelsea boss has seen his side labour this season in terms of their misfiring forwards, and will stop at nothing in order to bring in either Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa or Monaco’s Radamel Falcao.
Costa is of course enjoying a fantastic season in La Liga, and has seen his reputation and indeed his price tag skyrocket. Falcao meanwhile is currently laid off with a serious injury, but still has the reputation he deserves – and Mourinho is well aware.
As one of our punters reminds us, it is not too long ago that the Chelsea boss was making eyes at Falcao, claiming that he should be playing in front of more than a crowd of 3,000 at Monaco’s Stade Louis II.
That will of course mean that there will have to be a couple of departures at the club and whilst we are pretty sure that Samuel Eto’o will be one, the shock news is that Romelu Lukaku will be another, with Mourinho willing to allow the young star to seek a move to another club.
Will Jose find the missing piece in his puzzle? Let us know your thoughts below.
