The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are pleased with their club’s attitude towards the Alexis Sanchez transfer saga.
Since the summer transfer window of 2017, it has seemed certain that Alexis Sanchez will move from Arsenal to Manchester City, but after months of speculation it appears that a potential deal is dead and buried. There have been a number of reports in recent days regarding the Sanchez transfer after Manchester United emerged as a rival bidder for his signature.
The latest reports claims that City have officially ended their interest in Sanchez due to concerns over his wage demands and how a big-money contract could disrupt a harmonious dressing room in Manchester.
City refuse to pay Alexis Sanchez £350,000-a-week as he would earn more than Kevin De Bruyne and others, potentially causing unrest in the tight-knit squad. [@hirstclass]

Naturally, there are a handful of City fans who are distraught by the news after their club’s lengthy pursuit had filled them with hope of bringing the talented Chile international to the club.
However, the majority of supporters are pleased by the approach of the clubs hierarchy, and they have urged Guardiola to focus his interests elsewhere this month.
And judging by the reaction on Twitter, The Citizens are hoping to see the arrival of a new left-back this month now that Fabian Delph has been ruled out through injury.
Here’s what the City fans had to say about the latest reports to emerge regarding the Sanchez deal…
Absolutely right to keep the balance of the squad right as much as he a good player that’s an obscene amount of money for a 29 YO. Get young hungry players and keep the success going for years to come

Sanchez would disrupt the attacking harmony at City

He's right not giving in to those wage demands Pep? That's how players become pissed off and disillusioned and want out. He cant come in and earn more than Kun,KDB and David Silva? Thats how you lose dressing rooms? Pep is loyal to his players, thats why they love him?

Please we can just let him go, he can just join manUtd, I thought he wanted to win trophy over money, now I know why he's leaving Arsenal, Greedy guy

Good decision by city. If money is his motivation and utd are offering that amount then fair play to him go for it! I'd rather we look at someone who can be agueros long term replacement. This guy is on the same level as aguero and same age so why would he earn more than him!
