Reports suggest today that Roy Hodgson is finally set to get his man and land the signature of the in-form Johan Elmander.
After trying twice before to sign the Swede, rumours are that £5 million will send Elmander to Liverpool, helping relieve Bolton’s debt and solving Liverpool’s striking crisis.
Elmander – on fire this season – has reportedly turned down a contract extension, which has alerted the big boys to come and get him…but none of them are so looks like Liverpool will get him instead.
Should Hodgson indulge himself now? Should Elmander go? How much should Bolton sell him for, or should they get the most out of him and wait until the end of the season? And what does this mean for the out of sorts Fernando Torres?
