Sandro is confident that Adel Taarabt can bounce back from his recent controversy to help fire QPR to Premier League safety.
The Super Hoops last night moved off of the foot of the Premier league table with a 2-0 win against Aston Villa in what has been a whirlwind week and a bit at Loftus Road.
After the dramatic loss at the hands of Liverpool – in which the R’s performed well – manager Harry Redknapp launched a scathing attack on Taarabt.
The controversial Moroccan has barely featured this season, and despite being one of the club’s better paid players, his boss claimed that he’s ‘three stone” overweight and not interested in training.
Since then the playmaker has hit back at ‘Arry, and Sandro believes that the under-fire ace could be a key player for the London club this term:
“He is a great player, everyone knows him better than me and he is a great guy so everything is going to be in the past.” He is quoted by the London Evening Standard.
“He is going to be helping the team. Can he help us stay in the Premier League? Of course, he’s a brilliant player.”
