Under-fire Man United boss set to get until the end of the season

Jose Mourinho The Manchester United supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern have been growing increasingly disgruntled with boss Louis van Gaal, and are keen to see him replaced by the club’s hierarchy.

Some news has emerged this morning courtesy of the landlord’s Daily Mirror, that claims the Dutchman is set to be handed a stay of execution until the end of the season, because Jose Mourinho does not want to take over mid-season.

The Portuguese boss is wanting to settle into the role and have a pre-season with his squad, rather than taking over outside of a transfer window.

One United fan is sat with his pals enjoying a midweek pint and he thinks that the ex-Chelsea boss is worth waiting for, and is relishing the prospect of seeing the Portuguese manager in the dugout at Old Trafford.

United fans… Is Mourinho the man to pull you out of the doldrums? Can he reignite the glory days? Who else should the club be targeting?
