Underwhelming Arsenal flop being tracked by Turkish giants

It’s been a terribly poor season for Arsenal down at the Emirates, where fans on both the paddocks and here in the pub have begun to turn on manager Arsene Wenger.

The Gunners were humiliated in the Champions League and have struggled domestically too- leading to some supporters calling for Wenger’s head after a lengthy spell at the club.

But with various stars out on-loan, some Gunners supporters here in the pub have asked why some of them haven’t been brought back- one being Joel Campbell.

The Costa Rican international has been on-loan at Sporting Lisbon in Portugal this season but according to Turkish newspaper Takvim, Istanbul outfit Fenerbahce are hoping to land the winger this summer, having tried to sign him for years now.

The report says positive talks have already been held regarding a loan move, which could be made permanent at the end of next season for around £3million.

Campbell has struggled to make a long-lasting impact at the Emirates over the past couple of years and our Gunners-mad barman thinks it’s time he finally moves on to pastures new.

Arsenal fans- is Campbell’s time finally up at the Emirates? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
